Newark airport lockdown: A breach at airport in Newark causes lockdown and delays (video)

Newark airport lockdown: A breach at Newark Airport has caused a lockdown for travelers inside the airport. Departures are not taking place and passengers will have to be re-screened. The lockdown affects those in Terminal C of the airport, where a man bolted through a security checkpoint in the wrong direction. Authorities are still searching for the man and will need to re-screen everyone in the process.

What a mess! The Newark lockdown comes one day after heightened security measures changed the way we travel - again. The increased measures come compliments of Delta Northwest Flight 253's Christmas Day (attempted) terrorist attack.

Newark airport is located in New Jersey and is one of the busiest airports in the country. It is one of the major airports that services the New York City area. Because of the lockdown, passengers across the country can expect to feel the pinch through travel delays and potentially flight cancellations.

Memphis International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the area. It is a hub of Delta/Northwest and services many flights each and every day, including international flights.
