Nike Inc Chairman and co-founder Phil Knight said the controversy surrounding Woods was "part of the game" in signing endorsement deals.

"Obviously, he was one we checked out and he came out clean, and I think he's been really great," Knight said.

"When his career is over, you'll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip, but the media is making a big deal out of it right now," Knight added.

Woods, 33, who is married to former Swedish model Elin Nordegren with whom he has two kids, confessed infidelity after he was reported of having romanced as many as 12 women.

The world no.1 revealed has taken an indefinite break from professional golf to mend his personal life.

Tiger Woods' extra-marital affairs continue to unveil with the addition of a former nightclub waitress taking the number to 12.

Julie Postle is reportedly the 12th lover in the list of the women linked to the golf great, who has two kids, 2-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie, with wife of five years Elin Nordegren.

According to the Sun, the world no.1 allegedly met Postle at Roxy nightclub in Orlando, Florida, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Her former beau Brian Kimbrough told the New York Post that the 33-year-old star confessed to Postle about his marriage, saying it was only to support his public image.

Former bartender Kimbrough, "She said Tiger told her that his marriage was for publicity. She said it was for his image and the tabloids and wasn't real."
