White House Chef : VIDEO

Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali take on Bobby Flay and White House Chef Cristeta Comerford in a Food Network challenge.

January 3rd, Lagasse, Batali, Flay and Comerford – Iron Chef America – will accept First Lady Michelle Obama's challenge of cooking everything grown in the White House garden. Considering the month is January, this would suggest the Iron Chef White House challenge was taped in advance.

Alton Brown, Good Eats Host, will host the the two-hour episode in which the chefs will compete in true Iron Chef form.

Emeril Lagasse graduated from Johnson & Wales University's College of Culinary Arts. His famous catchphrases are “Kick it up a notch!” and “BAM!" In addition to his many award winning restaurants, Lagasse also acted as Grand Marshall of the 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade.

Bobby Flay is an Iron Chef, and is best known for his Food Network shows, "Throwdown! with Bobby Flay" and "Boy Meets Grill". In addition to authoring numerous cookbooks, Flay also served as judge to The Next Food Network Star, and The Next Iron Chef.

Mario Batali, author of Mario Batali Simple Italian Food, The Babbo Cookbook and Mario Batali Holiday Food, is also an award winning chef. His awards include Michelin Guide to New York City, and "Best Restaurateur" from the James Beard Foundation in 2008.
